Chrome Frets Cleaning And Polishing System The award winning Chrome Frets is an all-in-one string and fret cleaner and polisher designed to prolong string life and maintain tone-while producing gleaming frets and glass-smooth action. Fret polishing has always been the preserve of luthiers, it required specialist tools and was labor intensive, but now it's a quick, safe process that any player can achieve. A guitar with polished frets will dramatically improve the look, but more importantly the feel of the instrument. Chrome Frets achieves this, plus makes string bending much easier and the neck faster. Consisting of Chrome Frets' TefloWax solution, applicator pad, cleaning cloth, and storage pouch, the product can be used on all fretted instruments, including banjos, mandolins, ukuleles, and guitars and basses of every kind. The entire process takes just three minutes and can be carried out with the strings still on the guitar. It also re-hydrates fret boards, lubricates the nut and saddle, and does a full 360 degrees plus corrosion inhibitor and lubricant, which retains tone and reduces string breakages. Also, the lube has a dry feel and doesn't leave a sticky or the dreaded oily residue. The applicator is reusable and contains no silicone. To use, apply the TefloWax to the applicator pad and rub up and down the entire length of the fretboard; then continue rubbing with the microfiber pad on the reverse side. Conclude by polishing the frets with the supplied cloth. Chrome-Frets can also be used to lubricate strings for faster playing. One bottle of TefloWax is good for about 120 sprays.
